OMHSAS is pleased to announce the proposed Psychiatric
Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) regulations have been
posted for public comment. The posting on the Independent
Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) web site can be found
here. OMHSAS’ proposed regulations codifies the minimum
licensing standards and Medical Assistance participation
requirements and payment conditions for psychiatric residential
treatment facilities which treat certain children, youth or young
adults under 21 years of age.
Starting November 2, 2024 and closing December 2, 2024, the
public may submit written comments, suggestions or objections
regarding the proposed rulemaking to the Department via email
